Help WDET close our fundraising gap, pledge your support today

We have just two more days to reach our $330,000 goal, and we can’t hit that target without support from listeners like you!

As we round out the final week of WDET’s 2024 Fall Fundraiser, we are well on our way to reach our goal of 1,000 new members in 2024, but still face a hefty $120,000 gap to meet our fundraising target by Sunday.

While we’ve had an incredible response from the community, this week’s beautiful weather has proven difficult for our fundraising efforts, and we have a lot of ground to cover if we’re going to reach our $330,000 goal.

WDET made some big investments in local programming this year — increasing our local music and current affairs programs by 40% — and we have seen our audience more than double as a result.

To our listeners, WDET is more than just a radio station. It’s a community of people with common values and interests , and we work incredibly hard each day to bring our audience the vital news and locally-curated music that keeps their dials tuned to 101.9 FM.

In an era when support for both traditional news outlets and public media organizations are dwindling, it is more crucial than ever for those who truly value the work we do to put their money where their mouth is and support it.

More than 50% of our operating budget is funded by listeners like you — meaning without you, we wouldn’t be here. However, less than 10% of our listeners actually support the station.

We have just two more days to reach our fundraising goal, so help us cross that finish line and consider making a gift to WDET today!
