Kaleigh Wilder

This week on Visions, I reflect on my week-long experience at the inaugural International Music Creators + Collaborators Workshop (IMCCW) at Bard College, created and run by Grammy-winning pianist Kris Davis and visionary pianist Angelica Sanchez.

The workshop’s faculty also included legendary musicians Taylor Ho Bynum, Larry Grenadier, Jeff Parker, Terri Lyne Carrington, and Dave Holland and Billy Hart who both played with Miles Davis and Herbie Hancock among many others.

IMCCW welcomed 33 participants from around the world representing various parts of the U.S. as well as Chile, Ecuador, Italy, Greece, the Netherlands, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Canada, Taiwan, Australia and Argentina.

This episode of Visions features music from most of the IMCCW faculty as well as one of my peers at the workshop. Check out the playlist below and listen to the episode on-demand for two weeks after it airs using the media player above.
