It’s the last show before Mother’s Day, so I wanted to bring back the Mother’s Day mixtape, taking a look at how our musical memories are tied to our moms.

Thanks to the WDET listeners and friends who recorded those for me a while back. It felt good to play them again.

Today marks the day back in 1981 that Kraftwerk dropped Computer World. It was a massive record for Detroit (thanks, Electrifying Mojo!), so there’s plenty of love for that today on the show.

It’s also new music Friday, so Shannon & the Clams, Jordan Rakei, Camera Obscura, Mdou Moctor, Machinedrum, Ezra Collective, Thee Marloes and lots others get into the mix.
