Development group Mammoth Building Investors is holding a press conference Thursday to engage with the community and receive feedback.

The announcement and conversation will take place at the Tower Center on Grand River Ave, opposite the Mammoth building, beginning at 10 a.m.

Earlier this year, the city of Detroit sued building owner Park High Apartments — who purchased the complex in 2002 — saying the deteriorating structure was a danger to the public and violated multiple safety codes.

MBI released a rendering of a redeveloped Mammoth Building, proposing it as “GrandRiverTown,” an anchor for their development called “The Experience!” As Metro Times reports, the mixed-use plans include 100 apartment units, 80,000 square feet of retail space, restaurants and more.
