CultureShift: Former Detroit Chedda Boy member to premiere new film ‘OUTSIDE’ at Emagine Royal Oak

“OUTSIDE” will premiere at Emagine Royal Oak this Saturday starting at 7 p.m.

Chedda Boy Films

The Detroit-famous rap group Chedda Boy took over the streets in the first half off the 2000s.

Kwende Ried, a former member of the group, is currently the CEO and executive producer of Chedda Boy Films.

Ried’s latest film release, entitled “OUTSIDE, ” takes a look at grief, pain and what it’s like to live on the streets of Detroit. Ried aka “Street Lord Rook,” is no stranger to the life portrayed in the film, so telling the story is a natural progression to the growth after being “outside.”
