Jon Dixon is a highly acclaimed Detroit-based producer and musician. With over two decades in the industry, he has become a respected figure in the city’s renowned Techno scene. As a member of Underground Resistance, Dixon has played a pivotal role in re-shaping Detroit’s electronic sound. His impeccable production skills and ability to seamlessly blend genres have garnered him widespread recognition.

Dixon joined Sam’s Jams Live to discuss what he’s learned from Detroit’s jazz scene, touring overseas and his label, 4EVR 4WRD.

“I remember meeting a lot of DJs, a lot of musicians, a lot of singers, and it reminded me so much of Detroit. Here’s a city that wasn’t the most appealing to some people visually, but then it was to the people who live there. They’re very proud of their city, very proud of their culture.” — Jon Dixon
