The Freep Film Festival starts Wednesday with opening night at the Detroit Film Theatre inside the Detroit Institute of Arts. Now in its 10th year, the documentary-focused film festival takes place April 26-30 at multiple venues across Metro Detroit.
WDET welcomes film critic, radio host and native Detroiter Elvis Mitchell this Saturday for a live taping of his critically-acclaimed program The Treatment at the DIA. Mitchell will be joined by award-winning actor Laurence Fishburne, who appears in Mitchell’s debut film “Is That Black Enough for You?!?”
