Astronomicon returns to Livonia with a growing list of celebrities
This year’s event will feature an unofficial reunion for the cast of 2022 comedy, Clerks III.

Astronomicon pop culture convention is where some of movie and television’s favorite actors and voice actors head to Michigan for a weekend of locally-themed fun.
This year, there will be a mini Clerks III (2022) reunion at the event, with special appearances by Jason Mewes (Jay) and Kevin Smith (Silent Bob). Castmates Brian O’Halloran (Dante Hicks) and Trevor Fehrman (Elias Grover) will also be in attendance.
George Vlahakis is the organizer of Astronomicon and the manager to local music group, Twiztid. He says Smith has been on the organizers’ lists since the first convention.
“Now we’re at a point where I think, I know we can handle that kind of capacity and kind of celebrity at our event,” Vlahakis tells CultureShift.
By year two, Astronomicon had a growing waiting list of celebrities that wanted to sign up, and the word spread pretty quickly.
This year, guests can expect cosplay, a kids station and live music from local bands, including headliner Twiztid. The event is March 3-5 at Burton Manor in Livonia.
