The Game Awards of 2022 are tonight, Dec. 8, and six games will be vying for the coveted Game of the Year title. This is a big-budget celebration of video games on par with the Grammys or Oscars, and its origins can be traced back to 1993.
It will be streaming live at 7:30 p.m. EST on YouTube, Twitch, Steam and Discord. In this edition of the 1UPdate, we preview some of the night’s biggest nominees and musical performances.
