In the latest segment of 1UPdate, CultureShift follows up on our previous conversation about the types of harassment that go on in the video game industry. The most high-profile instance of gaming harassment in recent weeks has been against outspoken trans activist and streamer, Clara Sorrenti (Keffals on Twitch).

She was swatted on Aug. 5, and was forced to leave her home. She had been staying in hotels until her location was doxed and people started sending her pizzas under her birth name.

It turns out that at least some of this harassment was originating from a website called KiwiFarms. The site is essentially dedicated to doxing and stalking what the site has termed, “Lolcows,” people who they believe can be “milked” for entertainment. These organized, concentrated harassment campaigns usually target trans people and people who are autistic.
