The Detroit City Council has approved a $2.4 billion budget for the 2022-23 fiscal year. Bridge Detroit reports the plan includes a $12.7 million increase to Mayor Mike Duggan’s proposed budget. It includes more funds to improve transit, support property owners who were overtaxed and restore the city’s workforce. The council’s budget plan will be presented to Duggan on Monday.
