Get in the Mood for 2020 Detroit Jazz Fest With This Playlist

The Detroit Jazz Festival goes virtual this Labor Day weekend. 101.9 WDET will be broadcasting the festival uninterrupted.

Labor Day in Detroit is synonymous with the Detroit Jazz Festival, the annual celebration of jazz music that draws people from all walks of life downtown for four days of live performances from some of the best artists in the game.

In 2020, the coronavirus pandemic is putting the kibosh on crowds, but that won’t stop the Detroit Jazz Festival.

Live performances from artists including Pharoah Sanders and Robert Glasper will be broadcast live on WDET, which will provide a wall-to-wall, uninterrupted broadcast of more than 40 hours of festival performances over Labor Day weekend Sept. 4 to 7.
