Royal Oak’s Wingman Water Has A Sober Alternative for Your Night Out

Wingman Water is no sugar, no calorie, no sodium, electrolyte-infused sparkling water made in Royal Oak, Michigan.

In 2018, brothers Tom and Dennis Chinois had a goal to create a sparkling water as enjoyable to drink as your favorite alcoholic cocktail.

They were approached by more and more people who chose to not drink in social situations, but they didn’t want to hold a plastic bottle of sparking water or drink soda water. They answered these concerns by creating a healthy sparkling water packaged in amber beer bottles which would allow non-drinkers to drink something healthy that appeared in a bottle that wouldn’t draw attention to the fact they they weren’t drinking alcohol.

Wingman currently bottles 3 electrolyte sparkling varieties: Lime, Grapefruit and Original (unflavored), which is now available in a number of Metro Detroit grocers and bars. Their plan for 2020 is to expand to grocery stores and bars in the Midwest and other regional markets.

“The ‘sober-curious’ trend is happening in Michigan and all across the U.S. It’s been it’s been fun to be on the front end of it and to have a great beverage to support that trend right here from Michigan,” said co-founder Tom Chinois in a conversation with WDET’s Ann Delisi.
