WDET’s Sam Beaubien sat down with musician Alvin Waddles to discuss his musical career, his role in education, receiving the Spirit of Detroit Award, playing with Aretha Franklin, and he performs live in Studio A. Alvin Waddles and his trio will present a tribute to the music of Leonard Bernstein at 7pm this Friday at Beacon Park in Downtown Detroit.
