From the 1978 album Journey To The Light

SAMS JAMS BANNER 05

Journey to the Light is the second album by the Detroit R&B group Brainstrom. It was released in 1978 on Tabu Records. Tabu Records was a record label based in Los Angeles, California, founded by Clarence Avant (formerly of Sussex Records, where he signed Bill Withers and Dennis Coffey). The group featured Belita Woods on lead vocals (later joined Parliament-Funkadelic), lengendary bassist Deon Estus (bassist for Wham!), drummer Renell Gonsalves (the son of Duke Ellington saxophonist Paul Gonsalves), and others who went on to play with Cameo, Chaka Khan, and many others.
