Here’s One [D***] Road M-DOT Plans to Fix
Work starts on eight-mile long stretch of I-75 in Oakland County.
Traffic is about to get complicated for drivers in Oakland County.
The Michigan Department of Transportation is ready to begin the second phase of its I-75 modernization project. Crews will rebuild eight miles of pavement between Coolidge Highway and 13 Mile Road. They will also replace several bridges, install new drainage systems, and create special lanes for high-occupancy vehicles.
MDOT spokesman Rob Morosi says this part of the project will take about two years. Northbound lanes will close by mid-March, but the freeway will remain open during construction, with two-way traffic sharing the southbound lanes.
