Starting this month, you’ll see a rise in restaurant weeks throughout Michigan cities.

From Detroit to Birmingham, it’s an opportunity to check out that restaurant you’ve been talking about going to forever.

CultureShift’s Ryan Patrick Hooper speaks with Detroit News reporter Melody Baetens about how the restaurant weeks happening around the region are designed to “promote restaurants in a certain way.”

“It’s just to draw attention to businesses,” says Baetens. “Usually in a slower time of year between Valentine’s Day and the warmer months.”

These are some of the most exciting restaurant weeks happening in the region.

Downtown Birmingham restaurants offer up great deals on 3 course meals (February 4th—February 8th)

Over 30 eateries are participating in Dearborn’s restaurant week from (February 11th—February 17th)

In Royal Oak, over 20 restaurants are offering fine-dining at a discount from (March 1st—March 10th)
