WDET Schedule Update Effective February 2, 2019: Ann Delisi’s Essential Music Expands to Three Hours on Saturdays

WDET also adds Latino USA and Marketplace Tech to the program lineup.

Beginning February 2, 2019, WDET will expand Ann Delisi’s Essential Music to its original 3-hour Saturday format.  We will also launch an award-winning national news program, Latino USA, and a new weekday, compact five-minute show about how technology impacts our lives, Marketplace Tech.

By popular demand, beginning Feb. 2, Ann Delisi’s Essential Music is expanding to three hours on Saturdays and will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shifting by one hour will be Rob Reinhart’s Essential Music, which will start at 2 p.m., followed by Modern Music with Jon Moshier at 4 p.m.  Music programs will now air on WDET from 11 a.m. to midnight without interruption making WDET your station for Music Saturdays.

Latino USA is a nationally syndicated public radio program produced by The Futuro Media Group and distributed nationwide by NPR. The Peabody Award-winning program has been in production for 25 years and is the only national English-language radio program produced from the Latino perspective. Hosted by award-winning journalist, news anchor and author Maria Hinojosa, Latino USA presents a unique mix of coverage on culture and politics, diverse on-air voices, and in-depth reporting on current and emerging issues impacting Latinos and the nation. The show will air Saturdays, beginning Feb. 2 at 7 a.m. EST and Wednesday evenings at 10 p.m.  On the Media will now air at 6 am, and other schedule adjustments can be found on WDET’s weekly schedule.

 

 

Marketplace Tech’s Molly Wood, Weekdays at 6:30 p.m.

 

Marketplace Tech host Molly Wood helps listeners understand the business behind the technology that is rewiring our lives. From how tech is changing the nature of work to the unknowns of venture capital to the economics of outer space, this five-minute weekday show breaks ideas, telling the stories of modern life through our digital economy. Marketplace Tech is part of the Marketplace portfolio of public radio programs broadcasting nationwide. Marketplace Tech starts Monday, Feb. 4, and will air weekdays at 6:30 p.m.
