Mitch Albom Talks ‘The Next Person You Meet in Heaven,’ Charity Work

The columnist and radio personality offers up a sequel to one of his popular books.

Detroit Free Press columnist and radio personality Mitch Albom has a new book out next week, “The Next Person You Meet in Heaven”, a sequel to his book “The Five People You Meet in Heaven.”

Albom is having a release party for his book at the Opera House the night of October 14 to raise money for charity. All of the profits from the evening will go to medical costs for orphans in Haiti through Have Faith Haiti Mission and reading programs for children in Detroit through SAY Detroit Play Center at Lipke Park.

Albom joins Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson on Detroit Today to talk about his book, his charity work, and his commitment to kids in Haiti.
