WDET’s Sam Beaubien sat down with the Hughes Smith Quintet, a Detroit jazz ensemble who strives to play original music with a modern jazz sound. The group also enjoys bringing artists from different music scenes together with weekly and monthly gigs around the Metro Detroit area.
