After Being Signed to a Major Label, Mayaeni is Back in Detroit An Independent Artist Once Again
Mayaeni subscribed to the DIY method of managing her career, then got signed to Jay-Z’s label, Roc Nation. After writing songs with other artists including Macy Gray, she decided to get back to Detroit and her musical roots. Now she’s putting out a song a month on her website and doing some of the best work of her career.
