Ahead of her single release show at PJ’s Lager House in Detroit’s Corktown neighborhood, 23-year-old singer / songwriter Sara Marie Barron stopped by the WDET studios to debut three tracks from her upcoming debut full-length out later this summer: “Known Better,” “Wanna Know,” and That Man.”

Barron is backed by her full band including Mario Sulkasana (piano), Juhno Kim (bass), Will Daniels (drums), Garrett Gaina (sax) and Dave Vessella (trumpet).

Barron sat down with CultureShift’s Ryan Patrick Hooper to tell the stories behind this trio of tracks and what we can expect from her debut album.
