Listen above to the audio of Pie-Sci owner Jeremy Damaske being surprised live on CultureShift with the big news.

We’ve crowned a chompion in the first ever 2018 WDET Munch Madness pizza bracket.

After thousands of nominations and votes, Detroit’s Pie Sci emerged victorious.

Less than two years old, the pizza place in the city’s Woodbridge neighborhood near Wayne State started as a Sunday night pop-up before owner Jeremy Damaske was able to invest in a brick & mortar space of his own just right next door to where the concept originally started at the Woodbridge Pub.

Thank you to every pizza place that was nominated and participated in this year’s WDET Munch Madness bracket — we’ll definitely be back next year!

In Munch Madness, there are no losers — only great pizza.
