Thursday was supposed to be Opening Day for the Detroit Tigers.

Unfortunately, the weather had other plans.

Despite the decision to postpone the game, sports business editor at Crain’s Detroit Business Bill Shea joins Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson to preview the Tigers’ upcoming season.

The Tigers, who are in the midst of rebuilding the team, begin this year with relatively low expectations.

“It’s going to be a while before they contend again,” says Shea. “They traded for a lot of young talent, but that talent’s not at the major league level yet.”
