Inside the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel Renovation [VIDEO]

The tunnel that connects Detroit to Windsor is set to reopen on Monday, October 30.

After ten days of total closure, the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel is set to reopen with part-time closures on Monday, October 30.

The $26.1 million renovation project launched in January 2017 and is being paid for by the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel and Borderlink. When the tunnel’s total closure ends on Monday, the project will be in its final phase, which will include the replacement of the concrete ceiling, as well as other improvements to the infrastructure.
