Framed by WDET Awarded a Knight Arts Challenge Detroit Grant
WDET will create an exhibit and printed book that will highlight the best of the audiovisual installations
WDET is happy to announce we’ve been awarded a $23,000 Knight Arts Challange grant to present a showcase of the work completed during our project Framed by WDET which is an audio-visual series integrating photography and storytelling to tell the story of ethnic and cultural communities throughout metro Detroit. Through this project, WDET pairs Detroit-based photographers and storytellers to present dynamic narratives that listeners are able to experience through traveling audio-visual exhibitions, radio features and digital exploration.
WDET will be creating an exhibit and printed book that highlights the best of the audiovisual installations. Knight also provided funding for the original work that will be showcased in the exhibit and book.
