Holly resident Mark Clementz has been growing massive pumpkins for more than two decades.

Big things are happening in Holly—literally. The city is home to Mark Clementz, owner of WorldwideGiantGrowers.com, and his record-breaking pumpkins. Clementz says his biggest pumpkin ever weighed in at 1,947 lbs, and set a new record for the largest pumpkin grown in Michigan back in 2014. As he prepares his latest orange giant for a “weigh-off” in Ohio, Clementz says his passion for cultivating large pumpkins began more than 20 years ago.
