What Will Detroit Look Like In Five Years? New Design Exhibition Aims to Envision the Future of Detroit Development

The City of Detroit and real estate company Bedrock have teamed up for the Detroit Design 139 architecture exhibition.
The exhibition, which is open now and runs through the end of September, will feature architecture proposals in various states of completion intended to improve the Detroit community from downtown Detroit, Midtown and into the neighborhoods.
“The whole idea was how to expand the conversation about design beyond the traditional downtown [Detroit], Midtown and spread throughout the 139 square miles of the city, which is squarely focused on neighborhoods,” says Maurice Cox, director of the City of Detroit’s Planning Department.
