A Preview of This Weekend’s Detroit Jazz Festival

It’s Labor Day weekend, which means the return of Detroit’s acclaimed Jazz Festival.

From big names like Herbie Hancock and Miles Mosley, to the amazing talent from the Motor City like Regina Carter and Marcus Elliot, the Detroit Jazz Festival has a line-up this year that is sure to please old and new jazz-heads alike.

The festival is curated by Chris Collins, president and artistic director of the Detroit Jazz Festival.

Collins joins Detroit Today with Stephen Henderson to give a preview of this year’s festivities.
