A nighttime art and light festival is returning to Detroit.

It’s called DLECTRICITY 2017.  The festival is an outdoor event that features lights, video, and art along Detroit’s Woodward corridor.

The Executive Director of Midtown Detroit Incorporated is Sue Mosey. She says the event is Detroit based but designed to welcome anyone from the tri-county area.

“It’s a great way for families or just groups of folks to come down together and really just enjoy the beauty of the location, the beauty of the architecture, the beauty of the installations,” Mosey says.

The event will span the area between the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit or MOCAD.

The festival will showcase 35 artists from as far away as Japan.

It’s set for late September.
