New Exhibit At The Henry Ford Marries Groundbreaking Design With Nostalgia

“House Industries: A Type of Learning” celebrates 25 years of typography, design and innovation

You’ve seen the work of House Industries without even realizing it.

Over the past 25 years, these skate punks from Delaware turned internationally known graphic designers have had a hand in shaping the world of design built around our daily lives.

At a new exhibition entitled “House Industries: A new Type of Learning” at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation, Cruz and his partner Rich Roat have combed through 25 years of their work to celebrate the milestone but also to celebrate the work of other designers that influenced them. It’s an exhibit that pulls heavily from their own catalog as well as the archives of the museum.
CultureShift’s Ryan Patrick Hooper talks with House Industries founder Andy Cruz.
