This week, the Kresge Foundation announced its new grants for the Kresge Innovative Projects: Detroit program, funding neighborhood efforts here in Detroit.

Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson speaks with the program’s Managing Director Wendy Lewis Jackson and Detroit Office Fellow Alycia Socia about the program and the projects that it will fund through these grants.

The program “has been a three year endeavor for us,” says Lewis.

“And we’ve invested, in that time, over $5 million into various projects across the city that really demonstrate the know-how of Detroit residents and also the cool ideas that they have for improving their neighborhood.”
