China-based automotive glass supplier is investing $66 million in a production facility in Plymouth.

The investment will create 200 jobs, with another 300 jobs moving from the company’s facility in Lake Orion.

Community Development Director John Buzuvis says the deal will bring a lot of economic development to the city.

“It also means high level, high skilled jobs that are coming back to the community, which means lots of different things for area businesses, restaurants, service facilities, people moving into the area,” Buzuvis says.

Buzuvis says the supplier, Fuyao, will be stationed in a vacant warehouse, the largest in the city.

He says the company is expected to begin hiring and production in the fall.
