Politics Seep Into Super Bowl Commercials: A Preview

Ahead of Super Bowl Sunday, there’s already proof of the political climate making its way into prime time ads.

It’s Super Bowl weekend, and for the millions who tune in there will be touchdowns, Lady Gaga and a slew of prime time commercials. Several companies have already released their ads, and a few have had political undertones. Nato Thompson is the Artistic Director at Creative Time and the author of “Culture as Weapon.” He says companies have come a long way in advertising their products, and he predicts this year’s Super Bowl commercials will reflect that evolution.
