Let’s Try To Forget Detroit’s Sports Summer
WDET’s Pat Bacheller looks forward to what will hopefully be better football, basketball, and hockey.
The Major League Baseball post-season is ramping up.
The Tigers aren’t in the race, but the Cleveland Indians, the Chicago Cubs, the L.A. Dodgers, and the Toronto Blue Jays, are — so no matter who wins the World Series, it will be interesting.
WDET’s Pat Batcheller joins Detroit Today host Stephen Henderson to talk about the Detroit’s disappointing sports summer, and looks forward to what will hopefully be better football, basketball, and hockey in the fall and winter.
He says the Lions could be a good team this year if they can just somehow find some consistency.
“There are certainly some talented players,” says Batcheller. “The problem… is just depth. If one of their key players goes down on defense, it’s hard to fill that void.”
Batcheller also discusses University of Michigan football, Michigan State football, and the MLB postseason.
