Detroit Zoo Says “Thanks a Million” to Visitors
Zoo says attendance is on record pace in 2016.
The Detroit Zoo is on its way to setting a new attendance record this year. Detroit Zoological Society Director and CEO Ron Kagan says one million people had passed through the gates as of August 6, three weeks ahead of last year’s pace. More than 1.4 million people visited the zoo in 2015. Kagan tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the zoo has spent eight years improving its infrastructure and its programs.
