Tigers Great Horton says Players Must Put Fans First

Ex-MLB All-Star Willie Horton says Detroit Tigers can contend in 2016 if they put the team and fans ahead of solo stats.

Roughly a quarter of the way into the Major League Baseball season the Detroit Tigers are clawing their way back into contention in the American League’s Central Division.

Analysts say some of the Tigers’ younger players must step up if the team is to make a run at the playoffs.

But one of the Tigers’ World Series heroes, former all-star Willie Horton, tells WDET’s Quinn Klinefelter the team’s current roster needs to remember they are playing for more than just themselves.
