Art Birmingham Kicks Off Summer Art Season [MAP LINK]
Festival returns to Shain Park for Mothers Day weekend.
Metro Detroit’s first major outdoor art festival begins this weekend. Art Birmingham is celebrating its 35th anniversary May 7 and 8 in Shain Park (click link for map). The event’s director, Karen Delhey tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller it’s become a Mother’s Day weekend tradition. It’s a fundraiser for the Birmingham Bloomfield Arts Center, which offers art classes and exhibitions for the community. Art Birmingham will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 8. Click on the audio player to hear the conversation.
