One of the biggest summer road projects in Metro Detroit will be the reconstruction of I-275 north of I-96 and M-14. The Michigan Department of Transportation hasn’t announced when the work will start, because it’s reviewing bids from contractors. Once it does get underway, drivers will be able to get updates on the project on a new web site. MDOT spokesperson Diane Cross tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller crews will replace the concrete between Five Mile Road and the Novi interchange where I-96, I-696, M-5, and Grand River Avenue come together.
