When Jim Harbaugh played football at the University of Michigan, he guaranteed the Wolverines would defeat their arch rival, Ohio State, in Columbus in 1986. He and his teammates made good on that promise, as U-M beat the Buckeyes, 26-24. Harbaugh is Michigan’s head coach now, and he makes no guarantees as the Maize and Blue enter Saturday’s game against OSU in Ann Arbor. The Buckeyes have won 10 of the last 11 meetings in the series. WDET Detroit Today producer and sports writer Art Regner tells Pat Batcheller that, win or lose, Michigan has made progress in Harbaugh’s first season as coach.
