Host Sandra Svoboda is joined by Kimberly Hill Knott, director of policy at Detroiters Working for Environmental Justice, and Khalil Ligon, southeast Michigan outreach coordinator at the Alliance for the Great Lakes, to discuss environmental issues in and around southeast Michigan.

If you’d like to be part of this important ongoing conversation for the region, you can join WDET and the Grosse Pointe War Memorial  for an event Tuesday, Oct. 27 – it’s called “Our Environment, Our Waterways,” and it will be a discussion about water and the environment. with specific attention to Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River.

Svoboda will be joined by Dave Spratt, from the Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources, to interview speakers and field audience questions. WDET regular Nick Schroeck, director of the Transnational Law Clinic at Wayne State University Law School and executive director of the Great Lakes Environmental Law Center, will also be at the event.
