Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas Open for Robert Plant
They opened for the lead singer for Led Zepplin and now they’re performing at Detroit Live.
The summer may be over, but concerts are far from done. Detroit natives Jessica Hernandez & The Deltas had the opportunity to open for former lead singer Robert Plant last week. Amy Miller spoke with Hernandez about what was it like to open for Plant and her upcoming performance.
Before Letterman and After: “We were having a really hard time getting that initial audience to start expanding on and Letterman was that thing that pushed us to that next level to finally get a solid fan base,” says Hernandez. Letterman opened the door for the group and people started to come out to their live shows.
What’s next?: While the group is waiting for Saturday Night Live to book them on the show, Jessica & The Deltas next record will come out next spring or the summer. In the meantime, they will be performing at Detroit Live this upcoming Friday.
