Old Farmer’s Almanac Predicts Cold, Dry Winter for Metro Detroit
And throw out that old kitchen sponge, too.
The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicted last winter would be colder and snowier than normal in the lower Great Lakes region. As far as Southeast Michigan goes, that forecast was correct. And so far, the Almanac’s summer rain and temperature predictions have also been close to the actual seasonal totals compiled by the National Weather Service. The 224th edition of the nation’s oldest continuously published periodical is out with its 2016 weather outlook.
