WDET’s Chris Campbell, host of the Progressive is debuting the next evolution of his career: The Cambeaux Experience. Campbell’s alter-ego promises a combination of thematic mixes, choreographed presentations, percussive soundscapes and an audio-visual presentation that he hopes will groove, entertain and inspire the audience.
Ferndale Public Library Benefit Concert featuring Chris Bathgate, 800 Beloved & More Michigan Music @ Ferndale Public Library | Friday, August 28th @ 8 PM
Performing between two stages to ensure a ceaseless soundtrack for the evening, Michigan bands from across the spectrum of sound are conspiring and collaborating to raise funds for the Ferndale Public Library. Righteous. Joining Bathgate and 800 Beloved are Ancient Language, Woven Tangles, Kriss Gaynes, DJ Eddie Logix and Mister (first solo set in quite a while) A $5 suggested donation for all this talent? No brainer.

Cleon Peterson Solo Exhibition @ Library Street Gallery | Saturday, August 29th @ 6 PM
Dubbed “Poison,” this solo exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist Cleon Peterson celebrates recent work from the Cranbrook Academy of Art alumnus. Peterson is globally recognized for his graphic, monochromatic works that manifest in acrylic-on-canvas paintings, as well as sculptures. Peterson delivers signature themes, merciless violence backed by mayhem-laden narratives, at his first-ever show in Detroit.
