WalletHub Says Detroit is 10th Worst Place to Retire [Map]

List ranks Detroit near the bottom in health care and quality of life for retirees.

A new survey says Detroit is one of the ten worst U.S. cities in which to retire. WalletHub ranked the nation’s 150 largest cities and found Detroit is near the bottom in quality of life and health care fore retirees. Spokesperson Jill Gonzalez tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller the study bases its rankings on two dozen key measurements. Only nine other cities fare worse than Detroit, including New York, Boston, Chicago, and Newark, New Jersey. Tampa was the best place to retire. Click on the audio player to hear the conversation.
