A new website designed to help older adults connect with their local aging services launched this week.

The site lists contact information for services such as retirement planning, active lifestyle classes, and health care agency options.

The site was developed by the Michigan Aging and Adult Service Agency. Director Kari Sederburg says the website is meant to be inclusive.

“There is finally one place that people can go to get at least basic information and contact information for both an Area Agency on Aging, but also the local senior centers, public health department,” Sederburg says.  “It’s a more comprehensive list instead of having to kind of guess where you would start.”

Sederburg says the site is user-friendly for older adults who are not tech-savvy. The website is michigan.gov/aging.
