Palmer Park Book is Author’s Labor of Love
Greg Piazza lived historic district, and writes about it, and shares stories of the Palmers.
The neighborhoods around Detroit’s Palmer Park feature some of the most historic architecture in the city. The Palmer Park Apartments National Historic District was created in 1983. Gregory Piazza lived in the neighborhood from 1974 to 1991, and was one of the leaders in the effort to have it placed on the National Register of Historic Places. He’s written a new book on the history of the district and Palmer Park. Piazza tells WDET’s Pat Batcheller he moved out of Metro Detroit for a while. He now lives in Ferndale. Pat asked him why he left, and what brought him back to the region.
