Kristi Faulkner Dance has been shaking up the Detroit dance world with new, original productions backed natural movement and a thoughtful mix of music. Now the dance troupe is presenting two new performances to the Boll Theatre.
Four Letter Word explores feminine sensuality and gender identity set against the sounds of Motown and other 60s pop, while Cirque Noir is an ode to Balkan-inspired film noir music by the band Beirut. Kristi Faulkner speaks with WDET’s Travis Wright.
