Author and art historian Hayden Herrera wrote the 1983 ‘Frida’ biography, and now she’s coming to Detroit.

In conjunction with the Detroit Institute of Arts’ ongoing exhibition, “Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo in Detroit,” author and art historian Hayden Herrera is giving a lecture at the Detroit Film Theater on Tuesday, April 28, 2015. Herrera is the author of “Frida: A Biography of Frida Kahlo,” regarded by many to be the definitive account of Kahlo’s life. She’s visiting Detroit to discuss the artist’s life and work.
