“Gestalt” by Nigel & The Dropout
Nigel & The Dropout is among Detroit’s most promising new indie bands. Since coming on the scene in 2011, Nigel Van Hemmye and Andrew Ficker have dug into a rough, multi-hued indie rock sound — and live show — but really grabbing ears with 2013’s Tumultuous album. We’re loving “Gestalt,” the first single of the forthcoming EP titled Folderol. Catch these guys live on May 2nd at Paychecks Lounge in Hamtramck as part of the Metrotimes Blowout or at the proper record release show on May 16th at the Loving Touch in Ferndale.
